Name Change for 2013 Event
In 34 years this ever popular event
has seen many changes. While the marathon distance and the scenery
remain the same, there have been a number of changes to the naming
of the event. From "Round the Harbour" in 1979 and "City of Dunedin
Marathon" from 1980 to 1987. In 1988 Cadbury become our major
sponsor and up to 1996 it was "Cadbury Moro City of Dunedin
Marathon". From 1997 "Moro Marathon was the word on every runner
and walkers lips. As we enter our 35th year, our long established
partnership with Cadburys, our "Official Sponsor", will
